I wish for you a bright new year,
A 2021,
In which you feel the shining warmth
Of a brand new sun.

I wish for you the inner strength
To face all coming trials,
To be entirely unafraid
To feel both tears and smiles.

I wish for you a guiding light,
A compass in the haze,
A candle lighting up the path
To navigate the maze.

I wish for you in ’21
The resolve to care some more
And gentleness towards yourself
When being kind’s a chore.

I wish for you a brave new year,
Courage to see your flaws.
Embrace your darkness and your light,
You’re human after all.

I wish for you this coming year,
Kind acts to come your way,
Generosity and love,
Compassion come what may.
