ROOM CHANGE: On 9th, 16th and 23rd August, Newcastle Unitarians will have our Sunday Gatherings at 11am in Training Room 2 at Northumbria Student Central (NOT in Spiritual Commons). The room is opposite the Library helpdesk. Please enter via the main entrance, not the usual door (as this won’t be working due to maintenance works going on in that area of the building!). Call 07506 255 731 if you get lost. See you soon!
Our next service will be at 11am on Sunday 23rd August, led by Kainara Motta, on “Yoga and Non-Possessiveness”. We will be in the Large Spiritual Commons Room at Northumbria University for worshipping in person only, we’ll be back online next week. Kainara writes:
“I invite you to join me for a guided meditation exploring non-possessiveness (Aparigraha), one of the ethical principles of yoga philosophy. Together, we’ll gently dig through what it means to release our tendency to hold on to possessions, expectations, experiences, or even identities and create more space for freedom, trust, and presence. This will be a quiet opportunity to turn inward, soften our grip, and reconnect with the wisdom of allowing life to flow without needing to possess or control it. Come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to let go.”
We have a portable hearing loop in use during services, with a range of around 1m – seats are reserved for those needing its use.
If you have any questions about this, please do email us at: info@newcastleunitarians.org.uk, or call: 07506 255 731. See you soon!
We will post a video of the service afterwards on our Facebook and YouTube channels.
