Would you like to see inside our old home, the Church of the Divine Unity, before it reopens as a lecture theatre for Northumbria University? If so, please join us there just before 11am for our Fellowship Service, led by Chris Carr. Traditionally, the Fellowship Service is held on the Sunday nearest the fifth of October, because 5th October 1919 was the start of the long ministry at Newcastle upon Tyne Unitarians by Rev. Herbert Barnes, under whose guidance the Church of the Divine Unity was completed in 1939. Plans for the day are:
- 11am: Tour around the building
- 11.30am: Short Fellowship service within it, led by Chris Carr – in-person only, although we will record it.
We will not be having a Fellowship Lunch this year as there are no nearby cafes, but we’ll have coffee and cake after the service. Here’s a map showing the location of our old home, meet outside the main entrance: https://share.google/vsCcIAzFBtoik2g1P. If you get lost, call us on: 07506 255 731.
If you have any questions about this, please do email us at: info@newcastleunitarians.org.uk, or call: 07506 255 731. See you soon!
We will post a video of the service afterwards on our Facebook and YouTube channels.
