Our much-loved former member, Fiona Tait, sadly passed away in July 2020. Her family arranged a memorial picnic at her burial site in Belsay in July 2022, which several of us attended – here are some photos:

We placed this entry for her in our Robinson Book, in which we remember members of our congregation who have passed away:

“FIONA TAIT (b. 18 DECEMBER 1968) Died 17^th JULY 2020

Fiona joined Newcastle upon Tyne Unitarians in February 2014. She was elected to the committee at the 19 April 2015 AGM, and brought a fresh perspective and energy to our congregation until resigning due to ill-health in February 2016. She was also the Calendar Editor from May 2014 until February 2016. Her interest in the Unitarian Earth Spirit Network and nature-centred spirituality led to the first Flower Communion Service at Newcastle upon Tyne Unitarians.”
