Unitarian Code of Ethics Research Report
You may remember this from the Annual Meetings in 2022! Rev. Ralph Catts presents the reports on the survey on a possible Unitarian Code of Ethics, which we as a congregation responded to. He writes:
“In 2022 you kindly responded to a GA Executive Committee survey about a Unitarian Code of Ethics, and you indicated that you would like to receive a copy of the report. For reasons outlined in the attached report there have been delays in compliling and then in distributing this report. Nonetheless, I hope that you find it of interest.
It indicates that many UK Unitarians would like to see a statement of Unitarian values or a statement of Unitarian ethics. For reasons outlined in the report, it was not possible to achieve this in the study now completed, so the question remains as to how such a statement might be developed. It is a challenging task and one that might be addressed in a thesis. That would probably require funding, perhaps from a Unitarian Trust?
The report has also gone to the Chief Executive Officer and to the President of the GA, as it reports on the implementation of a GA motion.”

We can discuss after a service if people would like to – let Louise, David or Jane know if you’d like to do that!
