Our new hoodies are here, ready for us to wear to march at Newcastle Pride 2022! Here’s some photos:

“A few years ago, we had a wonderful rainbow banner made to show our support for the LGBT+ community in the North East. The management committee feel that as we are approaching the sale of our building, now would be a good time for Newcastle Unitarians to get out there and make ourselves more visible in the community. As such, we would like to show off our banner and our support for equal rights and inclusivity for all.

We’re attending the Newcastle Pride March on Saturday 23rd July, all are welcome to join in. The march starts at Newcastle Civic Centre at 12noon and will walk towards the Town Moor. However, you don’t have to march! You can arrive at the march for 11.15am and stand (or sit) with us and our rainbow banner to show our support for Pride. If you want to, you can walk for part or all of the way, there is no expectation to march the full route if this doesn’t work for you! We will be wearing our new hoodies and carrying our rainbow flag. The more the merrier – standing, sitting, or marching. More information here: https://www.northern-pride.com/march.
