Opening Worship: Dr Jane Blackall and “The Beloved Community”

Dr Jane Blackall from Kensington Unitarians led us in worship, with chalice lighting, hymns and prayers combining to create a sacred space to open the online summer school. With the overarching theme of Summer School 2021 being: ‘Why are we here? Discerning our Unitarian mission in an upturned world’, Jane was joined by Michael Allured and Nicola Temple for readings, and Abby Lorimier, Rachel Spence, Nina Sarnath and Mikaela Livadiotis for music.
